In 2021, a group of Fresno High School alumni came together to oppose a motion presented before the Fresno Unified School District Board of Trustees that called for the removal of the Warrior logo from all Fresno High School property and materials. Despite the efforts of those who fought against it, the motion passed. The controversy created friction between those involved in the opposition and the existing Fresno High School Alumni Association (FHSAA) Board of Directors, which had not participated in the discussion.

Criticism of the existing FHSAA Board ultimately led to the resignation of all board members and the installation of a new Board of Directors in 2021. One of the new board's first accomplishments was reestablishing a functioning website to provide information and resources for alumni, members, and non-members alike.

After spending the next several years rebuilding the organization's foundation, the FHSAA Board now holds regular meetings to establish priorities, develop goals, and create a roadmap for future growth. In addition, the Board successfully reintroduced the All-Alumni Dinner, a cherished tradition that had been absent for several years. The new Board is committed to strengthening the Fresno High alumni community both locally and across the country through a combination of fresh ideas and time-honored traditions. The Fresno High School Alumni Association has two primary goals: to serve as an information and communication center for alumni and to provide financial support for students and school activities whenever possible. Rebuilding the website from the ground up was a daunting task, but the FHSAA Board remains committed to restoring it as the premier source of Fresno High alumni news and information.
